Hyde Kelley LLP is a Texas based law firm that provides a comprehensive range of legal services to a diverse group of clients including municipalities, local governments, private corporations, and special districts. We also provide litigation services for both public and private entities.
The attorneys of the firm have dedicated their law practice to public service. Each Attorney individually possess over twenty years' legal experience focused on representing municipal and local government law. Each of the partners have been engaged in representing municipal government as City Attorney, Special Counsel or litigation counsel for essentially their entire legal careers.
Hyde Kelley attorneys have extensive legal and practical experience with client representation in the following arenas: local governments, state and federal courts, and state and federal agencies. Besides practices within each specific area, Hyde Kelley attorneys counsel planning and zoning commissions, municipal courts, city councils, and code enforcement departments by providing general procedural and legal advice. Hyde Kelley attorneys also assist clients by drafting ordinances and draft and negotiate contracts.
We are all members of the Texas City Attorney Association. Our firm is a sponsor of the Association and we are regularly called upon to present on trending legal issues at continuing education events related to the operation of local government. Mr. Hyde holds Merit Certification in Municipal Law issued by the Texas City Attorney Association and the remainder of the firm meets all eligibility criteria and is in the certification process.
The attorneys of our firm are also approved litigation claim counsel for the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool, the Texas Association of Counties Risk Pool and the Texas Water Conservation Association Risk Management Fund.
In keeping current with regulatory and legislative activities, Hyde Kelley attorneys write extensively about topics corresponding to the Firm's practice areas, plus attend and speak at relevant seminars and conferences throughout the year.
